Celebrating the annual community action event, Hands Across The Sand. Together 60 people held hands along Cox Bay to take a stand for the health of people and the planet, working to end the era of fossil fuels, and support a just transition for all people.

For this year’s Pacific Rim Whale Fest, Surfrider Pacific Rim had the opportunity to take part in the community Parade where volunteers put together an ocean-plastic advocation-themed parade float.

On New Years Day, Surfrider Pacific Rim hosted the annual Polar Dip event on Mackenzie Beach for various festivities, including the opportunity to jump into the frigid Pacific Rim ocean to celebrate the new year!

Ucluelet Secondary School’s Surfrider Youth Club, a part of our Youth Environmental Stewardship (YES) program, once again organized and facilitated this years Florencia Bay beach cleanup, overseen by our YES program committee.

For this years annual Kennedy Lake Backroads Cleanup, our chapter joined forces with Redd Fish Restoration Society & Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks to tackle the significant amount of debris left on the Highway 4 backroads

The Surfrider Pacific Rim Foundation's "Hold On To Your Butt" Program has introduced a new convenient public cigarette drop-off location at the Arm Navy & Airforce Veterans Club.

Rachel Blaney's introduction of M-80 to eliminate EPS foam floatation from the marine environment marks a pivotal moment in Canada's commitment to ocean conservation and environmental sustainability. The motion outlines a comprehensive approach that addresses both the removal of existing EPS foam and the prevention of future usage.

As your two-year term as Chair of our organization comes to an end, we couldn't let this moment pass without expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible work you have accomplished during your tenure. Your unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and remarkable achievements have made an indelible impact on our Chapter and the community we serve.

For this year’s event, we are committed to promoting stories of sustainability, diversity and inclusion that further uphold Surfrider's mission of protecting and enjoying the world's ocean, waves, and beaches for all people, through a powerful activist network.
