Join us at tinwis Beach for a weekly beach clean-up called "Washed Up Wednesdays" in partnership Tourism Tofino.
This is a free, drop-in event to help collect and record beach debris. Gloves and buckets are provided. Follow the main path from the parking lot on Hellesen rd to the beach where you’ll find us at the Tourism Tofino tent.
Participants can enter to win a complimentary 3-night stay for two at the award-winning Wickaninnish Inn.

Earth Day Underwater Cleanup
Join Surfrider Pacific Rim, the District of Tofino, Emerald Sea Society, the Ucluelet Aquarium and Tourism Tofino for a special underwater cleanup of 1st Street Dock, marking an important milestone: Tofino’s upcoming plastic water bottle ban (1L and under)
Emerald Sea Society will have divers removing submerged debris, which you can check out on the dock - and see the Ucluelet Aquarium in action as they remove sea life from the debris!

Make a jellyfish out of Marine Debris with artist Kim Leckey of Sea Woven.
Celebrate n̓isma / Earth Week and n̓ačiqs / Tofino’s upcoming plastic water bottle ban (1L and under) by creating your own macramé jellyfish with artist Kim Leckey of Sea Woven. Using salvaged marine materials, you’ll transform ocean debris into something beautiful and learn how creative reuse supports healthier coastal ecosystems.
You’ll also hear updates on the #TakeBackTheTap campaign launching April 22 and the recent #MugMovement victory, along with upcoming events and ways to get involved in local efforts to protect our coastal and marine environment.

Help us celebrate Pacific Rim Whale Festival by cleaning Combers Beach!
We clean rain or shine, so please make sure to dress for the weather. Buckets, gloves, and trash pickers will be available on a first come, first served basis, so make sure to get there early if you don’t have your own gear.

As a reminder, there is currently a dog prohibition for the coastal areas and trails between Green Point Rocks and the Willowbrae Trail in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, which includes Combers Beach.
