A Heartfelt Thank You to Amorita Adair: A True Champion for Our Chapter
Dear Amorita Adair,
As your two-year term as Chair of our organization comes to an end, we couldn't let this moment pass without expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible work you have accomplished during your tenure. Your unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and remarkable achievements have made an indelible impact on our Chapter and the community we serve.
Since assuming the role of Chair, you have been an exceptional leader, spearheading numerous initiatives that have pushed our Chapter to new heights.
One such milestone was the successful implementation of the Cut the Cutlery Campaign, which aimed to reduce single-use plastic waste. Your relentless pursuit of this cause has inspired individuals, businesses, and even local authorities to reevaluate their reliance on disposable utensils, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
Another campaign that has flourished under your guidance is the Take Back the Tap Campaign. By advocating for the use of tap water and reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles, you have promoted environmental consciousness and encouraged healthier choices for our community.
Your instrumental role in replacing the First Street Dock and the Mearse Island dock at the Big Tree Trail through the Chapter’s Foam Free Docks Campaign and partnership with Blue Friday.
Beyond your campaign successes, your tireless advocacy on behalf of our Chapter has been exemplary. Whether it be speaking at council meetings, showing-up and supporting nearly every Chapter event, leveraging your business, Gaia Grocery, to support and donate to our cause, or providing invaluable guidance in decision-making processes, you have truly been the driving force behind our achievements.
Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for your immense contributions to our Chapter's growth and success. Your dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to our cause have made an indelible mark on our organization and the community at large. We are profoundly grateful for the incredible work you have accomplished during your time as Chair, and we are honoured to have had you as our leader.
With deepest appreciation,
The Surfrider Pacific Rim Chapter
